The Children’s Guild DC Public Charter School (TCGDC) is a tuition-free, publicly funded charter school, serving children in kindergarten through eighth grade in the District of Columbia. TCGDC is open to all students and does not require testing or screening for admission.

We are currently hosting Open Houses every Monday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. If you cannot make it to any of the scheduled Open House dates please call Ms. Giles at (202) 774-5442 x3418 and make an appointment that fits your schedule. These tours are an opportunity to learn more about the school and experience the school day. There is also a public information session at the school on April 27th starting at 9:00 am.

TCGDC participates in the My School DC lottery program which requires all students to apply through www.myschooldc.org to be considered for the upcoming 2019/2020 school year. The lottery application deadline for Kindergarten through 8th Grade is March 1, 2019, lottery results will be released March 29, 2019. Once the student has been accepted, a TCGDC staff member will reach out to families about enrollment into the school.

Registration: After MySchoolDC releases the results. Upon receipt of acceptance, you have to get your child/children registered with our school within 10 days. An online link will be provided to our new family members allowing you to complete some of the required registration paperwork.

ENROLLMENT INFO – DUE April 30, 2019
To secure your child’s space for the next school year, all families must submit a complete Enrollment Package by May 1, 2019 for the SY 2019-2020 for each student. Families new to TCGDC will receive an email with instructions on how to submit all enrollment documents. Should you need assistance with the online forms, parents and guardians can complete in person at the school. If you have been accepted, and you applied without an email address, you can phone our front office at (202) 774-5442 for instructions on the next steps.

Your student’s enrollment is not considered complete until the Residency Verification is completed in our front office. The deadline for registration is April 30, 2019.
